We are proud to present a preview performance of selections from Exposure, a new opera by Daniel Felsenfeld and Brittany Goodwin based on the Thomas Hardy novel The Well-Beloved featuring Emily Thorner and Aliana de la Guardia, sopranos. With a libretto rooted in the 1970s New York art scene, we have constructed a program based around the concept of visual art featuring the world premiere of Osnat Netzer's meshulashim and a reprisal of Anthony Green's Scintillation III and Barbara White’s Fool Me Once. The composers featured on this concert are all close friends and collaborators who represent the vibrant and inclusive community that makes Boston such a wonderful artistic home. Music by Keith Kirchoff, Stefanie Lubkowski, Aaron Jay Myers, and Osnat Netzer. We share the program with Dirty Paloma's Aliana de la Guardia, who presents “Spanish Johnny” a portrait of an old-time desperado and the ill-fated woman who fell in love with the outlaw using lyrics from traditional American ballads and folk songs, and music for solo voice by David Lang and Orlando Jacinto Garcia.
